FAQ
I. How much will it cost?
This is my number one question and it's hard to have one price for all. Some people have one shoe box of pictures whereas some people have 3-4 tubs of family history waiting to be sorted and archived.
Unlike big online business's that scan in bulk, I go through each photograph and negative and scan to the highest quality.
So don't hesitate to send me an email!
Depending on circumstances I charge by the hour or by the project. I am happy to chat and provide an estimate and a timeline.
II. What type of organization do you offer for negatives?
There are several levels for negative organization. First, physical negatives are organized into sleeves and a binder. Next, the digitization of negatives with high quality camera capture. A contact sheet is created which includes date, location, and positive or each negative with number. Lastly, digital organization and backup.
III. Do you offer physical restoration for photographs or old documents?
I offer physical restoration to an extent. I am still in the process of learning new techniques to improve the quality of restoration for water damage and physical tears. But digital restoration includes scratches, rips, missing contents, etc.
IV. Do you take clients out of state?
Currently I am only taking clients residing in Utah. I'm hoping to expand in the future.
V. Where do you offer in person consultations?
Currently I only offer in person consultations in Utah.
VI. How long does it take for the full service?
Depending on the size of your collection, the service can take from a couple weeks up to a couple months.
VII. Do you offer single services? Such as restoring only one picture?
I do offer single services. If you only want your negatives scanned, or your already scanned and digitized collection organized, or you have a picture you would like restored, etc. I do offer al la carte. Just shoot me an email on the contact page and let's chat!
