Who am I..
Hi, I'm Kaytlyn. Nice to meet you. I’ve been taking pictures since Jr. high and graduated with a degree in filmmaking. My wonderful husband, our energetic son and I live in Utah. And when I’m not hanging out with them, I like to read, create and of course nap.
I started scanning in my family and childhood photos and then got hooked on family history
Do you have a box of old photographs from your grandmother? Or documents from a great aunt? Or wanting to start preserving your own family history?

Why Photography?
I love to capture moments. Time is so fleeting - a picture can stop time. When I was younger I had a little sister who past away. I only have a couple pictures of the both of us together. This pushed me to never miss an opportunity for a picture. You can always delete an image, but you can create one.
WHY ARCHIVING?
In 2023 I started scanning and storing all my family pictures. I'm still going! I have learned a lot about preservation and digital storage. I recently found my grandfather's college yearbook - he passed away when he was 25 - and what a tender moment - to see my mom look through pictures of her dad she has never seen before.
